“Don’t be too hard on yourself” is one of Sally Taggart’s philosophies. Going strong for six years as Civiltest’s Administration Assistant, Sally says she loves the structure and routine of her role.
“I am a strategic thinker with a very organised and structural brain,” says Sally. This makes her an excellent match for the foundational aspects of her role: registering new jobs, quoting, digital filing and customer service.
That said, Sally says her favourite projects include the Civiltest newsletter, creative design work and marketing materials. So really, she’s a strategically-minded creative.
Sally holds herself to a high standard of excellence, explaining that “I’m a perfectionist. I only want to put work out that I’m happy with.”
Her dedication to the finer details shows how much she cares about making a difference at Civiltest at all levels.
When asked about the greatest lesson she’s learned about herself as an Admin Assistant, Sally says, “To trust myself. I’ve learned to stop second guessing my opinions and trust in my abilities when I do take on bigger projects.”
In celebration of International Women’s Day 2025, Sally is a leading example of what happens when a woman is passionate about her work—she creates a ripple effect that moves everyone who comes into contact with her. Her uplifting demeanour and light-hearted nature are the icing on the cake regarding her work at Civiltest.
Sally enjoys spending time with her partner in her spare time, working out at the gym and walking. Every second Sunday, she visits the Brunswick Dachshund Meet-Up with her dachshund, Penelope. What could be cuter than a park filled with 20 little sausage dogs?
